How to ask your bridesmaids & groomsmen? | Wedding Planning

Howdy Y'all!

Are you engaged? Are you still trying to decide how to ask your bridesmaids to be in your wedding? Or are you trying to get your fiancé to ask his buddies in a semi-manly but "cool" way?

If the answer is YES! Then you've come to the right place. I am also engaged and was struggling with how I wanted to ask all the special people in my life to stand by me. I know I have heard a lot of people tell me, "why don't you just call them? or ask them in person?" To tell you the truth. I would have done that, but I wanted to give them something special to remember. I want to spoil my bridesmaids and groomsmen. I want our wedding not only to be about my fiancé and I, but also about the ones we love and care about who support us. Also because I am a big crafter who loves making things! I love giving to others in that way.

So I talked with my fiancé and came up with a way to ask his buddies! At first he was hesitant of it, but I showed him the idea I found on Pinterest. He wanted to just ask them in person. But I told him it would be such a cool idea!! I begged! He was cool with it since it wasn't in a girly way. Pinterest for the WIN!

They are so cool! They hang on a glass beer bottle or you can put them on a glass soda bottle! But all the guys loved it. Here is the free printable on Pinterest. There are also other cute free printable's in that link!

The ladies got a little bit more than the guys did, but that is because I knew my fiancé's friends weren't as sentimental. They would probably throw them away!

As you can see I have a matron and a maid of honor! I am blessed! I could not choose. It just so happened that one is married and one is not (not yet that is!) My matron and maid got different styled boxes than the bridesmaids. I just wanted them to be a little different. Inside of all the boxes they got a little personal note, information about the wedding, nail polish, and chocolates. The chocolates aren't shown in the picture! The matron and maid also received a small picture frame.

If you are crafty like I am! All I did was go on down to the craft store (Michaels) and buy ribbon, fake flowers, letters and cute boxes!! It was very simple. I would say the longest part was staining the boxes because they had to dry and it is messy, but I love stain so much!

I hope you enjoyed my little tidbit on asking the special people in your life to be part of your wedding! Congrats if you are engaged or are already married!!

Blessings & Love,

Katelyn
