Katelyn Todd Photography Dreams & Aspirations
Howdy friends!
Hope your having a great Tuesday! Today I wanted to share with you about my passions, dreams, and aspirations in life and photography. It has been a journey this past year going from two jobs in college to moving and full time photography. Oh and of course getting engaged! March 25th cannot come soon enough—super excited to marry my best friend!
Last year was my first full year of pursuing my photography business and also the first year with wedding photography. I had the best mentor this past year, Caroline Ann Photography. I met Caroline when she took my graduation photos from Texas A&M. We instantly hit it off and I felt so comfortable with her. She made me feel natural and myself. She offered for me to second shoot with her at multiple weddings last year and taught me so much about photographing wedding days. I cannot thank her enough for answering all the questions I asked her and for having me a long at her weddings. She is an absolute blessing in my life. After shooting with Caroline and a few other photographers last year, I began pursuing weddings on my own. After second shooting 8 weddings last year and the education I have pursued through a few photography programs, I feel confident in pursuing my dreams and aspirations. Check out my dreams and goals below!
1. Book 12 weddings in 2017—I have booked 9 weddings so far! Over half way!
2. Book 20 senior sessions in the spring and fall.
3. Book 24 weddings in 2018.
4. Attend a photography workshop with a photographer I admire. (I have a few favorites)
5. Participate in a styled wedding photography photo shoot!
6. Get published in a magazine.
7. Yoga & walking my Australian Shepherd every day. (I am trying to pursue a healthy lifestyle—It is hard! I love Dairy Queen Blizzards.)
8. Writing and reading Gods word everyday. I have a beautiful journal from the Lara Casey Shop called write the word journal. You should go check it out.
9. I am marrying the love of my life this year and I want to be the MOST loving and encouraging wife. So if it’s the weekend or the evening after six o’clock you can find me enjoying time with my husband (well soon to be)!
10. Pursue Gods calling in my life. I feel him tugging at my heart to serve people through senior and wedding photography.
11. Love and serve everyone I come in contact with!
My sweet soon to be husband and I hope to have our own farm/ranch one day here in the good ole state of Texas (if you can't tell from the photo above, I am a big Texas lover #texasforever). I will have to tell you more about our dreams together another day. I hope you enjoyed reading and hope you go make a list of your dreams and aspirations! It's a good reminder to look back on and work towards to make your hearts desires and calling come to life.
XOXO,
Katelyn
