Planning or Postponing your Wedding during COVID-19?

Hi there!

If you stumbled along this blog post, it’s probably because you are postponing, thinking about postponing or are planning a wedding during this uncertain time. I am so sorry about this unfortunate event that has taken place. I know you are heartbroken. It’s a difficult time for all of us and I deeply feel for you brides and grooms out there!

Things to think about:

  • Don’t stress!! If you reach out to your vendors whether you’re postponing or thinking about postponing, they will help you navigate during this uncertain time. This will relieve so much stress when you communicate with your vendors. We are here to help you in anyway we can. Your wedding day will be beautiful! :)

  • I highly suggest talking with your venue and important vendors about dates they have available coming up if you are postponing. Try to get them all booked on a date they are all available (I know this can be hard because we book out so far in advance). It will most likely save you money if you use all your same vendors! Consider— a weekday, Friday or Sunday. They will most likely be the easiest days to reschedule for a lot of your vendors. Although who knows, your vendors may all have a Saturday available!

  • Upset about postponing? You definitely have the right to be! You’ve worked so hard to put together such a special day. Sit down and take a moment to work through your feelings. I know it’s tough but no matter what you will get married to the love of your life!! Just think, this can give you more time to enjoy being engaged. Trust in God’s plan.

  • If you don’t have one already, consider booking a wedding planner— they will help you tremendously!!

  • Summer/Fall/Winter 2020 & 2021 brides, if you have favorite vendors you are wanting to book— book them as soon as possible! With spring 2020 weddings being rescheduled, you may not get your dream vendors!

  • Don’t forget to give yourself grace and everyone helping you plan your wedding.

  • Give your fiancé a big hug! We will all get through this together!

If you need anything at all, don’t hesitate to reach out!! Stay safe and healthy out there.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7
